2016 TCSAAL Arts Festival

This year, at the Texas Charter School Athletic and Academic League (TCSAAL) Arts Festival, we brought a total of 28 pieces of art, 8 art students and brought back 6 medals!

Since the Arts Festival was held in Buda, Texas, we could only take a few students. My group of awesome artists consisted of (2) 7th graders, (3) 8th graders, (1) 11th grader and (2) seniors. This entire group of students did an awesome job and a few won a medal.

This year, the had a live on-site drawing competition. Only middle school and High Schoolers were allowed to compete. I’m very proud to say that I had a student in each category of the live drawing win (WHOOP). A 10th grader won state for the high school division and a 7th grader won runner-up for the middle school division.

All-in-all, I had 6 students recognized with medals, 3 State Champions and 3 Runner-Ups. What an amazing experience! Below are a few pieces that were created by the students.
